This page describes Clarizen Editions and Licensing options.
Clarizen is available in two different edition types. The table below highlights the main features available per edition type.

Clarizen has four different license types, which can be assigned to users in the organization.

The license types are:
Full users have access to the full work lifecycle, as well as access to run and view reports.
With Clarizen’s ‘Enhanced Permissions’, organizations can also control the viewing access of Full Users, restricting them only to projects where they have a role, providing another layer of access permissions for large organizations with stricter confidentiality requirements.
Team Members can see the specific tasks assigned to them, rather than the whole Project. Team Members are centered around tasks, working day to day on completing tasks, collaborating on data (files, notes, discussions), and reporting time.
Time & Expense
These users mainly need to report time/expense against their activities.
Using Clarizen timesheets, users can report, not only against project tasks, but also against general administrative activities such as interviewing, admin work, etc.
In addition, these users have access to social discussions, and can submit Custom Actions, i.e. submit forms that trigger workflows, such as submitting a ticket, PTO, project, change request and more.
Even though they can report time against project work items, they cannot collaborate on these tasks (notes, discussions, files), which is what sets them apart from Team Member users.
Social users can sign into Clarizen with an actual username and password.
They can work on cases and to-do tasks, as well as participate in discussions within the Groups they belong to. They can have joint workspaces where they can share files, notes, discussions and even see the Clarizen widgets (Roadmap, Gantt).
Social users can also submit Custom Action items, i.e. submit forms that trigger workflows, such as submitting a helpdesk ticket, PTO, project, change request, etc.
Customers that need a joint, secure, workspace where they can share ideas, submit requests, and work jointly with other team members, rather than rely on emails and attachments residing in individual email inboxes or computers typically use this user type.
This license may also be used by members of other departments who are not project/task-centric but occasionally need to collaborate with licensed Clarizen users and provide input into the shared knowledge base.
