Redesigned navigation bar

To provide more intuitive user experience and optimize screen space, Clarizen introduces a redesigned left-hand-side navigation bar.

The new navigation bar has three modes.

Note: If your organization is using Theme Editor and have enabled One Click Navigation you may need to take additional steps to ensure the navigation panel is displayed correctly.

Default mode

By default, the bar displays actionable icons representing each module. Hover over an icon to see the label or click it to navigate to the desired module. At the top, click Menu or Global search to expand the navigation bar. Hover over the blue icons to display a list of custom actions, recent items, favorites, or create a new item.

Expanded mode

Click Menu  or Global search to expand the navigation bar. Click Menu  again to return to the default mode.

Docked menu mode

You can dock the navigation bar by clicking the blue pin icon at top of the bar. Click the pin again to return to the default mode.

When in the docked mode, click the Menu  to expand the navigation bar.

Will the new collapsed default mode have tool tips based on hover? I know the Theme Editor app allowed you to have navigation like this but we didn't turn it on due to missing the tool tip.

    Hi Garret,

Yes, tool tips appear on mouse over in the default mode. I have updated screenshots to reflect it. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Natasha.

Hi Garret - is it possible to set the organisation default to be the original expanded view as opposed to the collapsed version?

    Hi Chad,

No, the navigation bar is not configurable via settings and the original navigation bar is no longer available.

    Kind regards,
    Natasha.
