If you put a group in the "notify" section of a discussion, it will force an email to go out to the members of that group. One warning is that it is easy to generate a lot of emails this way.

Send Email to User Group
Hello,
Is there a way to use the email functionality within Clarizen to send to a user group created within Clarizen?
It looks like you can do this by tagging that user group in a discussion post, but the actual email activity only allows you to select individuals and not user/discussion groups that have been created.
