How do you transfer user licenses from one user to another?

We wanted to transfer a license used by a current user to an account that had no license.

My organization tried "revoking" a license from Account A, hoping that it would free up the existing license so that it could be transferred to Account B. However, now the license has simply disappeared from the system.

Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hi Ian,

Licenses are account specific and can only be 'transferred' between users of the same account. Please see short video here for steps to revoke/reassign licenses.

I only have a single license, and it is assigned to my account. I need to move my license to another user's account. When I attempt to do this using the instructions from the video, the "Revoke Licenses for Selected Users" option is not available (greyed-out). How do I get around this?

Hi Tian,

If you have only a singly license, you cannot do this since you are an admin. What you would need to do is contact your Account Executive regarding this request.

hi,

 

I searched for this and ended up here, so how do I reassign licenses from one user to another? (The link to the video mentioned by Patrick is unfortunately no longer working)

You would go to People and then Admin >> Licenses on the toolbar. From here you can view, revoke, and assign licenses in real-time.
