Stop emails when post is made

It seems every time someone makes a post, our entire organization in Clarizen is being emailed, meaning any user type (Full, Email) who is allowed to have emails.

Our email users need to receive updates about their tasks, however I don't want them receiving emails about post as they are not able to log in and view them.  How can I turn these automated post notifications off?

Hi Chris,

Does this happen in the discussions held in the "All Company" discussion group ?

I am on the social page, and if I post to "Information Services", which is one of my Discussion Groups, it emails all of the members of this group.

Each use can adjust their notification settings.  All they need to do is go to the properties for All Company and set their notifications to daily digest, weekly digest, or off.

But how would this work for email users who are unable to actually login?

Ah great question.  There is a setting at the profile level that determines their default subscription.  You can set this to digest, then unsubscribe the users from the groups and re-assign them.

Sorry, could you elaborate a bit more?  I am not sure how to do what you just described.

Hi Chris, please find the setting Josh refferred to: (if you can't see full picture, right click and select open in new tab)

You may remove email users from your 'All company' group from the social module. Just expand the group members window and select them and click delete. The easiest would be to filter by 'user type' (add to the filter via 'manage' button
