Stopwatch Toggle

I'd like to create a action that will trigger the running/stopping of a timer. When the time stops, I'd like the elapsed time to be added to that task. How would I go about creating that action/button? The ability to pause the time via the timer which sits on every window would be great.

Let me know if something like this would be possible in Clarizen. Thanks for your help!

Good, news... no action necessary, it is already built into the system. All you need to do is select a reportable work item, click Utilities in the ribbon and then "Start Stopwatch."

Josh - I knew that was possible. I'm just looking to eliminate one click, you know, be more efficient. Ideally, I'd be able to customize a view, and within that view, allow a Start/Stop Stopwatch action. Maybe another option from a UI perspective would be to add a button on the narrow margin on the right that would begin a stopwatch based on the selected task.

Last alternative, which I think would fit with the Clarizen's mindset, might be to allow admins to customize the ribbon. If I could just move start stopwatch to the "Common" from "Utilities" that would be great. This way I could have tailored experience. Thanks for your help.

Hi Luis,

Thanks for the feedback.

Considering you would need to manually activate the stopwatch, even if you were to create a custom action (button) to do so, it would appear in the custom actions sub panel. Hence, no clicks gained.
