How do I create a task view?

I'd like to create a task view that allows me to push to users a view that is filtered to the following:

  1. Tasks for which I am a Manager

  2. Tasks for which I am a resource

I know how to start in to creating a few, but i'm not certain how to go about creating a pre-filtered view.

Thanks,

-Marcia

For this, I would actually recommend trying to get people used to clicking the Activities button in the upper right-hand corner (it looks like wavy lines). From there they have direct access to a filter list of their tasks, tasks where they are a manager, timesheets to fill out, timesheets to approve, related cases, etc.

When I click on those wavy lines all I see is "New Item's" - "Posts".

I think I would prefer that the user goes to Tasks, and then chooses the appropriate view (feels more straightforward to me). Can you help me understand how to set up a task view that is appropriately filtered?

If only New Items comes up, that means there are not any active tasks that you should be working on in your task list.  I think I answered your question in another thread, but all you need to do is create a new view or edit an existing global view, and set the filters from within that view.
