splitting work between assigned resources

Is there an easy way to split a work item between two resources? The system automatically splits the work evenly between all assigned resources, but with our work that's not always the case. How do I enter their % of the work manually?

You would use the units field.  I would expand the work plan, pick a task, then expand the resources panel to change the units. You can also edit your views so that the resource panels will show units when you however over resources, which makes this process even faster.
