How do I delete resources that are listed for a particular task?

How do I delete resources that are listed for a particular task? For instance, there is a writer, designer and client listed. I want to remove the client and designer.  I thought there was supposed to be a little x by each resource but I don't see this anymore. Right now I'm having to go into the task, remove each resource by choosing delete, going back to my work plan and then having to expand the page again. Why all the hassle?
