Why don't Discussion items show up on the Collaboration view?

I was wondering why discussion items do not show up when I view the Collaboration View for a project?  Is there a place to see ALL discussion items for an entire project?

Kevin,

This can be done by referencing the Parent Project using the (#) Hashtag symbol. For example, if you are adding a comment within the discussion panel at the Milestone or Task, you can reference the Parent Project in the following manner...

======

Test,

By the way...I want this comment to be referenced at the #ParentProjectName

======

The #ParentProjectName would create a object reference link to the Project Discussion board. You should then be able to go to the Project level and see the comment within the discussion board at the Project level.

Note - You may need to refresh the screen to see it.

Sincerely,

Thanks Boris - does this add a topic?  How do you manage topics if you want to delete something?

I just tried to add a comment to my project "KR 9999 Testing Project"  I tried to add a # with and without spaces and refreshing screens.  Still cannot see the discussion on my main project page.  Any other suggestion?

I think I got this figured out Boris - it does add the project as a Topic.  Is there a way to have discussion items show up when you go into Collaboration view?

Hi Kevin,

Currently, this is not possible. However, this is a great feature request and I submitted it to our Product Department on your behalf.

If the feature gets implemented, it will be posted on our blog about Improvement Releases: http://www.clarizen.com/blogs.html. You can also check periodically on the status with us.

Thank you for working with us on improving our software. We really appreciate it

I am also interested in this feature.  Until this feature is added, is there an easy way to know if there are discussion posts on specific tasks / milestones within the project?   For example, when I look at the project, I can see all the Project level discussions at the bottom, but I would like to be able to look at the work plan and see next to each Task/Milestone if there are discussions for that specific Task/Milestone.   I know that this is possible if I add Notes to the Task/Milestone

Hi Farhan,

Thank you for your participation in our Community Success site!

There might be a way to do this with customizations. I've submitted an inquiry to our customization experts on your behalf to see if this is possible. I'll get back to you with their response.

In the meantime, I've logged a feature request that is basically a standard field at the work item level that counts the number of unique posts (not including replies). If there is another way that you would like to see this please let me know and I will include it in the feature request. For your reference, the ID is CR-221360.

If the feature gets implemented, it will be posted on our blog about Improvement Releases: http://www.clarizen.com/blogs.html. You can also check periodically on the status with us.
