How do I assign To-Do list items to a Parent task/project?

To save time, my team has created tasks and not assigned them to a project, so it defaulted to to-do list. Since we now have a better idea of what project these should be assigned to, I'd like to go back through and assign them to the correct place as information becomes available. The parent project field is locked, and I'm not sure what I need to do to be able to assign a parent.

Hello,

You can highlight a To-do task and Move it under a Project, Milestone or any Parent task that this To-Do task should be associated to.

A Parent Project field is locked, as this field is a read only field that automatically gets populated with a linked work item.
