Can I stop the emails for password expiration?

We use single sign on to log into Clarizen using our network login credentials and therefore do not use the password facilities in Clarizen - other than for a few staff that use the Clarizen Excel add-in.

However, staff still receive email notifications when their passwords are due to expire in Clarizen and are finding this confusing despite being told that they can ignore them.

We don't want to turn off all email notifications as others are useful to us but would like to know if we can switch just this one off. System Setting 7.6 Password expiration validation is ticked but I'm not entirely sure what is meant by the 'password expiration mechanism will be enabled'.

Hello,

If the setting 7.6 is on - it will require the password to be changed based on the expiration settings. If it is off - it will not require password changing.

Let me know if it helps,

Thanks. So to confirm if I  have the switch off then users won't receive the email as their passwords won't expire? Is it possible as well to stop the email notifications (just for passwords) being sent?

Hi Tracy,

Yes, if you have this setting switched off, the password will not expire, therefore no notifications regarding password expiration should be sent out.
