Sharon,

This is an Out Of the Box Template. When you create a New Project and go to select a Template, you should see it there under Select Template when you choose the 'Clarizen Templates' from the drop down menu. See attached image.

Boris

Boris,

Yes, it is. I installed Agile 9 - 10 months ago and it looks like that template was deleted for some reason. Can I get it from you somehow?

Thanks,

Sharon

Sharon,

I am not sure how this got deleted but have you checked the Recycle Bin to see if it is in there? Be sure to search items deleted by ALL Users and Show TEMPLATE.

If you find it, you should be able to restore it. If not, we do not have an easy way to recover or recreate this. Attached is the work plan of the SCRUM Template that you can try to use to recreate or re-import using Data Loader.

There is a possibility that I may be able to escalate this and have this investigated from the database side to see if the template can be recovered. Let me know when the template was lost (approximately) and if you want this escalated I ask that you create a ticket to investigate this further.

Sincerely,

Boris

Hi Boris,

I checked my Recycle Bin for All Users and TEMPLATE. The template did not appear. My Recycle Bin only goes back to 9/23/14 so it could have been deleted before that. I would say it would be around 11/20/13, which is when I installed the SCRUM Release Backlog. The SCRUM work plan was not attached. could you send it again to my email?

Thanks for your help,

Sharon

I'm reviewing the SCRUM template spreadsheet and I have a couple questions:

1) There is an activity called Productization, what does that mean?

2) The template shows Actual Effort Updated from Timesheets set to No. Is that just the setting, or is there a reason Actual Effort could not be updated via timesheet for an Agile project?

Thanks.

Sharon,

Productization refers to modifying something, such as a concept or a tool internal to an organization, to make it suitable as a commercial product as an example.

As for the file I provided, this column 'Actual Effort Updated from Timesheets' is a column from my demo environment and it was set to NO which will be the setting if you use this. That does NOT mean this is a requirement. If your resources will be updating the Tasks using Timesheet entries, then these need to be set to YES otherwise the Actual Effort will not update correctly.

I have found a possible easier way to provide you the template. I created a MS Project file. All you have to do is import it and all should show up, then you can make changes as desired to settings, dates, columns, filters, etc and save the template when satisfied. I went ahead and changed all items to 'Actual Effort Updated from Timesheets'=YES.

Take the attached XML file and from Clarizen select New --> Import from MS Project and select the XML file I provided.

Sincerely,

Boris
