Why do some of the dates appear in Yellow and why do the dates have decimals after them?

Hello,

The following is a screen shot of my project tasks and milestones. I need to manually be able to change the dates (start and finish, specifically on the more complex projects). I have done this and some of the dates have turned yellow and the time taken has decimal places, that I can’t seem to change. I understand the relationship with this and for me the work effort is the most important factor. Please may you advise why this happens and the simplest way around the problem?

Thank you very much, Alex

Alexandra,

I do not see an attached screen capture but I am assuming that you are looking at the Work Plan within a Project. Yellow fields are shown when you make changes to dates, work or Duration. The yellow shows you what has been affected/changed based on your changes.

The decimals in the time is normal but dependent on how you are specifying your work, duration and Unit% for the Resources.

Sincerely,

Boris

Dear Boris,

I've noticed that some of my colleagues get these yellow highlights when a date is changed.

Now, for some reason I do not see these yellow highlights if I update something and a date is changed.

Could you please advise on how I could enable this feature?

Thanks,

German

German,

This is a 'per profile' setting. In order to enable this for yourself, go to the Work plan and click on the Gear Settings icon. Then go to Settings  and toggle the highlight setting. See attachment
