It would be beneficial if Clarizen was able to accept the import of project files in additional formats. Currently the only format that is accepted is XML from Project 2007 or later. Importing from a standard excel template or csv would be nice.

This is very easy to say and very difficult to do as every organization has a different version of what a project looks like in Excel.
However, the Data Loader does this.

As my colleague David suggested, the Clarizen Data loader performs the operation of uploading projects, and many other items, from an excel file.
