Add Template to Request/Case object

We utilize the Create Request custom action to initiate our project process. One of the requirements is that the requester selects the project template that is to be used. We would then like to take the information from the project card and pull it into the Request to Project custom action. Currently, the field is available in both the Create Request and Convert Request to Project custom actions. The issue is that we are not able to add that suggested template to the Request project card, and therefore can't pull it into the Request to Project custom action.

Adam,

Would it make sense for you to use a custom field instead? Do you need to be able to modify the template once the request is created? If not, and you only need to see which template was selected, you can copy the template name into a custom text field.
