How do you build customizations/Keep track of functions?

I am building some customizations with multiple variables nested ifs, etc.

I am finding it's very hard to keep track of what's happening in the customization window because I am constantly looking at only 6-10% of the rule data on my Full HD screen.

How are you guys keeping track? I'd wish there was some XML-treelike view I could export or something like this to get an overview. It takes forever to create an overview in e.g. Excel (I did it once since I had to re-organize the sequencing of a complicated rule).

Clarizen Professional Services/app experts, please share your experiences...

Hi Peter,

I usually zoom out and use 50%/75% - usually that is enought for me to keep track on the flow. In addition, maybe you should breakdown some of the WRs to different rules that is would probably make it easier to maintain - this is only if you don't need those actions to be sequential. The checkbox of "Allow Triggering Additional WRs" is also a best practice that can help you with that.

Please let me know if it makes sense.

Thanks,
Tamir

If I zoom to 50% I cannot read the text :-)

The rule I am working on now has to be in sequence.

Suggestion: Build a different CSS that could be invoked at the push of a button that would make a tighter (read without input fields, just the content) layout. This would be really helpful.

Hi Peter,

Honestly - I don't see it coming soon as we are more focused on features and enhancements that provides value to the end-users rather than admins. I will open the change request on your behalf - CR-297867, so you can keep track on the request.

Thanks,
Tamir

OK, that's a shame since the customization engine is Clarizen's best feature IMO.

I think this would be very quick to do - just some different CSS and a button/JS.
