I have been trying to find a list of users that do not have a license, or even an expired Trial License.
Is there a way to see users who are not assigned a license?
The best way to view who has what license type is by going to the People module, then in the ribbon go to Admin >> Licenses >> View Existing Licenses. You can also revoke licenses from this view.
To set the default licenses that users receive, you can adjust setting 5.1 (New user default license type).

Chris, I am not sure I understand. Even if they do not have a license (License Type=NONE), the user will still show in the People Module. Did you set the user to suspended or deleted? If so, this could be a filter you have where you are only seeing Active users.
My use case:
I have just created several users and set their User Type ($LicenseType) to 'Time & Expense'.
When I search for them in the People Module, they come up with a User Type 'Time & Expense'.
When I search for the new user in the License Module, the user does not come up as they are not assigned a License automatically depending on their User Type field... is there a way I can fix this?
How can I quickly find which users have an assigned License and which users do not.
Currently, these users will exist but in some time, they will get a Trial License Expired error and won't be able to log in. I'm trying to find out who this users might be.
