Date formats in report charts

Conditional formating on a duration field in a report is possible. I can use the system default or change to hours, days, or weeks. I cannot, however do the same to duration values in a report chart. The only possibility is the system default. This inconsistency in reports causes confusion. I would like the ability to format the duration in the report chart.
