Issue with CreateFromTemplate message

When I attempt to create a project using the ImpersonateUser header in my API and CreateFromTemplate then immediately attempt to change that project using the same method, I get a message saying the the user is not allowed to update the project. If I wait 20 mins or so, I can update the project, but I need to be able to immediately update it. If I don't use the CreateFromTemplate it works as it should.

Sometimes it does take a minute for changes to take places on the project. Not sure if it's because it is still communicating with the server, but usually if I exit the screen and come back or hit the refresh button I am able to make changes to my projects.

unfortunately, this does not apply to my situation.  It is not "a minute", it's 15-20 minutes and continues after multiple refreshes/closes/different sessions.  In my application each call is a separate window (as they are intended to be independent actions).

I don't think there is a simple answer on this one. I would recommend opening a ticket so that support can investigate.

That's where I started.  They told me they don't support API and I had to come here. . .

Hi Ed,

From your previous post I know you were trying to create from template and set the creator as the manager for other work items.

As this is unavailable with the API, did you open a CR for that?

Perhaps you'd like to perform this task with the customizations (i.e. custom action inside Clarizen), or business rules (using IsFromTemplate function for example).

Hope this helps,

Ophir
