Agree this would be useful. Don't know of anyway it can be set presently

Choosing Default Week on Timesheets Module
The ability to set a default timeframe (e.g. "This Week) in the Timesheets module. For example, when users log out and back in, they will be redirected to "This Week" instead of last previously changed timeframe.
