Can Expense sheet workflow get information about expense?

Hello All,

I would like to create a workflow, not too sure should be expense sheet workflow or expense workflow.

If the expense category is repurposed, and expense sheet is submitted, I would like to update field in project.

If I create workflow in expense, I cannot detect state change of expense sheet, because ischanged() doesn't support nested field.

If I create workflow in expense sheet, i cannot find expense category.

Hope someone can help.

Thank you very much.

Hi Jessica,

The rule should be built on the Expense Sheet entity. Can there be multiple expenses with different categories in the expense sheet? If not, this is how to access expense category from a workflow rule that is built on the Expense Sheet entity:

If there can be multiple expenses with different categories, there is not enough information to answer your question, please clarify.

I hope this helps.

Hi Roland, thank you for the help.

May I ask if Clarizen exclude certain expense categories (e.g. Repurpose) from "Expenses" part in the calculation of Actual cost?

For example, if I added an expense categories "repurposed", can Clarizen doesn't add it to actual cost automatically?

Hi Jessica,

I don't think this is possible.

Best regards,
