As a temporary solution, create and use a Topic called "Followup". When it is completed, remove the Topic

Discussion Post Flag for Follow-Up
It would be great if there was a way to flag a discussion post for follow-up. Somewhat how Outlook Email has the "flag" feature as a reminder to follow up on an email. It would also be nice if you could receive a reminder on when the discussion post needs to be followed up on.
