Use Resource Planning to change future work only?

Hello,

I'd like to know if there is an option in Resource Planning view to make sure that the planned work before present day remains unchanged.

As an example, consider the following case initial case, with a task with 100h of Work on 5 weeks. The task Work Policy is Fixed Work:

If I change work on the week 10/07 to 16/07 to 30h, work on all remaining weeks is changed to keep the same total work on the task.

I'm looking for an option that would give me the following result when I change planned work on week 3 (that is the very next week):

I know that if I force the planned work manually on every previous week, I'll get the result I want (that is keep previous planned work unchanged), but I'd like to avoid every user to manually set previous planned word if possible.

I hope it makes sense.

Thanks in advance,

Armand BOLMONT

Hello,

Could you please give me some feedback about this topic? Without that, there is a high risk to change past scheduled work when modifying planned work, so this is pretty much blocking.

Thanks in advance,

Armand,

I believe that this would be considered a Change Request or would require significant customization. I will look into it and let you know the Best Practice.

Hello Boris,

Thanks for your feedback. Did you have time to look into it in order to find some "Best Practice"?

Just adding that this would be a very useful feature for us as well.

Changing past planning doesn't make sense (but it would be nice if the past planning could be updated with booked hours).
