I would like to share a widget to our client allowing a limited view to the project work plan or ghant. I still am not finding a method to allow only Milestones and not all specific tasks. I see several dated posts but nothing recent to indicate this has been accomplished. Can anyone help?

From what I've tried in the past, a widget is not the answer in this case as it displays all work items. I would try creating a new external user and assign that user to the relevant milestones as reviewer.
You can also create a report that only displays milestones for their project(s) and share the report with the customer.
