Improved keyboard navigation in the 'more info' area

I know in other areas of clarizen you can navigate grids with the keyboard arrow keys and hit enter to bring up the dialog box. then shift enter to close it when you are done.(For example in the Projects > 'Team Project View')

However, when in the 'more info' area when in the "Project Details" "Scheduling View" as in the attached image that navigation .

You can select a field with the mouse and arrow up down bit it will skip items sometimes and sometimes not - it seems inconsistent in my testing. Also when arrowing down and hitting enter - does nothing. It would be extraordinarily convenient if would could navigate with the arrow keys and hit enter to edit the entries and move around within them with the keyboard, then shift enter to close, instead of having to mouse click them, and if the arrowing was consistent.

Summary for desired keyboard navigation in the ‘more info’ area:

  • Ability to move up down right left among the data entries
    • Working: move up and down (although it skips entries)
    • Not working: moving right and left, it seems to be bounded to a specific column you first select in the section.
  • When the item is selected from the arrows (the border turns light blue as shown in the screen shots) – the ability to hit enter.
    • Not working: hitting enter to bring up the dialog box to edit the items data.
  • When the items dialog box is open, moving around in the box with the keyboard so select items.
    • Not working: In this concrete example, I cannot hit ‘Tab’ (standard shortcut for moving between fields on the web) to move in between the integer and the units. Tab to move forward, and shift+tab to move backward.
    • Not working: There does not appear to be a keyboard shortcut to close this dialog – one has to click away with the mouse.

My formatting on the last post did not come through - and the bullets became messed up.

Since I cannot go back and edit it - I have attached a document that lays out the issues along with some screenshots and highlighting that might make this easier to understand/visualize.

The attachment is on this case:
