User would like the ability to open attached files as read only (no option to write/delete/modify attached file) via widgets.

We currently do not have plans for a read-only file option for documents stored in Clarizen. We would recommend using our integrations with Google Docs or Box since you can add more granular document permissions utilizing those solutions in addition to Clarizen (if you use Google Docs, it also allows you to collaboratively edit documents from within the Clarizen UI).
