App: Burn Up and Burndown Charts

Utilizing the data captured by Daily Trend Snapshots and extending it for Milestones, where Sprints are represented by Milestones:

• Burndown chart tracks a Milestone’s remaining effort against a linearly expected remaining effort – to visualize actual vs planned progress
• Burn Up tracks actual efforts against expected progress and planned effort (Work) to visualize actual vs planned progress taking into account increases or decreases of the Sprint’s Work scope.

Whilst burndown is a standard tool for Agile type projects, burn up is considered as giving better insight into jumps in progress when scope changes with urgent new items or if estimates are updated.
