Timesheets Report- including unsubmitted.

We need a report that shows us who has submitted time, who has been approved, what hasn't been submitted. Basically the "Total weekly reported hours by user" System generated report, but we also need to know if it's also been approved. I can't edit the system report, and can't figure out how to recreate this the same way.  Any advice is appreciated.
