The only way I can think of to do this is to create a report that would list this data and then have the business rule send out the report (new v5.4 feature) instead of sending a normal email.

FollowCreating an e-mail from multple records
I'm getting pushback from our staff on getting too much Clarizen spam (generated by my scripts...)
The e-mails contain information that they want, however, there are just too many separate ones.
I'd love a way to queue them up and send one e-mail per week similar to the way some forum sites work.
Right now I notify key staff whenever a project is created or is closed. It would be great to generate one e-mail with all of the projects created or closed over the last week. I can't quite figure out how to architect this though.
In brief, I would like to create an e-mail which lists all new projects over a time span of the last week.
Hopefully you see the problem, if not, I can explain it more thoroughly.

Hi Rich,
a couple of ways to approach that
- As Josh suggested, send on a weekly\daily basis, different emails for different events (like: projects created this week, projects closed this week)
2. Roll up to the organization\user level the list of updates (into a custom field) you want to push and send on a daily\weekly basis one email with all of the updates. Afterwards, clear that field
in both approaches, you would need scheduled workflow rule.

Rachel
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the question and the answers.
I have a question related to this.
Is there a mechanism to actively trigger the scheduled workflow rule (in testing)? You can only set the scheduled time per hour and it is awkward to wait for an hour to see of the workflow works. I currently end up first making a custom action for testing and then when it works making a scheduled rule.
Also at some point (or am I mistaken) there was talk of creating a sandbox environment for testing purposes. Has there been any progress on this?
Cheers,
Rob
The custom action would be your best bet for now (we do have a feature request already but a button that will execute immediately). Also the Sandbox is still being defined and has not been committed to a specific release.
