InterAct email variables in internally generated email

Hi all,

This might be super simple - hoping so.

I have an issue where I am trying to use an email generated by a custom action and Interact to update fields and states. In other words, one project is emailing another.

I have a project with a unique alias and an Interact rule that will update a custom field "Artwork-Status". If I send a manual email to this alias the rule completes just fine as long as I put a line return after the last parameter.

i.e.

     status: Approved

       <- with a line return

Works just fine.

     
status: Approved<- without a line return

Does not work.

This is fine except when I am generating the email internally (with a custom action) I can not add this extra line return in the body, all of the white space at the end of the line is stripped out. At least, that is my assumption for why it's not working.

Hi CE, 

The rule isn't working via the Custom Action because we currently have a restriction set up that won't allow an InterAct rule to be triggered off of another business rule.  

A change request has already been added on this and we are planning to remove this restriction a couple of weeks after the release of V5.4 (which will be released on May 19th). 

Other than that I can tell you that you built the rule perfectly :)

Well that's a huge dissapointment!!! I usually try to work at leat 60 says ahead of feature releases - not a measly 18 :)
