Absolutely. You can create a fake resource (with a fake email address) and give it a license type of "None" upon creation. Then you can utilize this resource in your project plans/templates and swap them out as soon as you know the exact person that will be doing this work.

FollowAssigning positions to a template project
Hello!
Please, does anybody know if it is possible to create general positions (or roles) and assign them to specific tasks of my template project? e.g.: a specific task will always demand 4h/day of the project manager and 8h/day of the consultant. Is there a way I can assign this information to the task, so that all I need to do is choose the project manager and the consultant of each project created from this template?
Thank you, I appreciate if you can help me.

Thank you very much, Josh. I have got one further question though: when swapping this fake resource out, is there a way to automatically replace it by another user in all taks it is assigned to?
Yes, if it is in the manager column. This can be done with an app called "Find & Replace Manager" that you can get for free in our app store. In v5.4 due in May, you will be able to do this with the resource column as well!
That's great news! Thank you for your help, Josh!
