Duration locked

Duration is locked because that row has sub-items, so the duration rolls up automatically based on those sub-work items.

I'm attempting to edit the "Estimated Duration" field of a Task that has no other layers within it. The field is locked. How can I edit this field?

Your estimated Duration is locked because the % Completed field is at 100%. Also, this "Estimated Duration" field is not a standard Clarizen field so it is most likely a Custom Field created by you or someone on your Clarizen team. You may want to see how it is configured to be populated and it may not allow you to modify. 

Also, what are you using Estimated Duration for and how is it being used differently from the standard Duration field which can be modified?

Upon further investigation, I found that Estimated Duratoin is a standard field (simply not available for customization). The field is a reflection of the Estimated Duration based on the Estimated Start Date and Estimated Due Date.
