In Version 6, just go to the navigation and then select New >> Import from MS Project

I cannot find the Import from MS Project feature. Where is it located?

Does this merge with an existing project?, overwrite it? or start a completely new project? I need to merge in an MS Project action plan

Hi Patrick,
This will start a new project. If you want to merge, you would need to use the "Data Loader" option. Unless you want to import it and then move the import project to the existing one. But importing from MS project does not update the current project.

I tried saving as an Excel file in Excel 2007 xlxs format but the loader says it has excel 95 formats which it doesn't

Hi Patrick,
Are you trying to import via "Import MS Project?" If you are, you would need to save it as XML file. Unless you are trying to import via Data Loader. If that is the case, you would need to set up a different template.
