Baseline

Can I save part of project Start and End dates as baseline? For example, if I have 10 phases in the project, can I save baseline for 1st phase?

You can make the first phase a subproject, save the baseline, and then convert the phase back to a milestones after the baseline has been saved.

Why not just build the "Save Baseline" feature into Milestones? Is this under consideration? the work-around is fine but it seems like a simple fix.
