You may take a look at the task property card.
There is a "reportable" boolean field there.
Can you please ensure it is checked?

Howcome the timesheet settings are greyed out?
I have not been able to figure out why certain tasks on certain projects are not reportable. The timesheet settings are greyed out in the properties settings dialogue. I can make the context level task reportable but none of the sub tasks I have added. How do I overcome this?

Jonathan.... the fields on the property - settings card are not selectable, thus not checkable. Screen print attached. I have this issue with projects that are initially created using templates, not on non-template projects. thanks

Some of those fields are hierarchical. In order to check reportable, Allow reporting on sub items has to be checked at the project level.
