I am now getting an error when attempting to enter new cases (bugs and requests) in Clarizen v 6. The error is stating that the State must be populated before saving the case; however that field is not showing up in the entry window to be able to select it. I have not modified the entry window but I have changed the states to minimize the number of them.
Where can I see where the validation rules are for entering a case and modify them so that there is a default state of "Submitted".

You can go to Settings >> Customization >> and have a look at your validation rules there. You could also create a workflow rule that automatically sets a State to a default value upon issue creation.
