Resource Allocation - Can it vary by day or week?

This is currently not possible, but is a feature request that product is considering for this year.

I should also mention that the way you would handle this scenario now would be splitting the task into subtasks, one of each shift in allocation.

I m also facing with the same problem.

@Josh Santos as you suggested creation of sub-task is also creating issues in some Scenarios

For Example,There is a task in which three resources are allocated , all the three resource availability differs so it is very tedious to create many sub-task in user level as we have more than 40 tasks with same scenario in a single project handled.

So we need alternative solution from your end on this issue.

I agree that it is tedious, but there is no alternative solution at the moment. A feature called "Work-by-day" (CR-490) is currently under development and will address this scenario.

Is there is any update on "Work-by-day" (CR-490) , I am waiting for this feature which enhance our company for effective Resource load planning & allocation.

As of this week, you can turn on system setting 7.11 - Enable Resource Planning. This allows you to set capacity of resources on a monthly or weekly bases and then balance the load to meet those high level capacities. The ability to vary up the work by day or week on a single task will come in the next couple iterations of this feature (late Summer and Fall).
