It sounds like you have either a sort or a filter in place on your project. Click on the filter button in the upper right next to the search button in the panel and click "Clear all" and save. Then look for a black triangle in any of your column headers to indicate a sort. You can click on the right side of the header to clear the filter and then you should be all set.
