Hi Bill,
Currently you are able to copy & paste workitems only within the same project, but by next month we are planning to extend this functionality to allow copy & paste also between projects.

In v6 I how do I copy tasks from one project to another?
I can copy the task or groups of tasks, but when I switch projects, select a task to paste above and click paste. nothing happens.
