Project Notifications are emails listing major news related to projects where you have managerial responsibilities. The progress emails on the other hand list all the tasks that you as a resource should be working on and let you update % completion right from the email.

I'm currently set up to allow emails, but I'm not clear what I'd also then be receiving if I set myself up for the "Project Notifications" toggle.
Hoping you can help me understand the difference between the two.

Thanks! Could you please provide an example of what a project notification might be? And confirm that it goes only then to Project Managers? Are there other roles that would fit under "managerial responsibilities"?

A project notification would be something like a milestone in your project becomes past due. Managers, Project Managers, and Super Users would receive this notification.
