I have a project that was imported from MS Project. I want to make the tasks update effort from timesheets. On the project level the "Allow Reporting on Sub Items" checkbox is locked although the "Reportable" and "Actual Effort Update from Timesheets" are checked.
How do I unlock this?

If your tasks doesn't have sub-items you won't be able to change this field.
Did you try to enter a timesheet entry and see if the actual effort is being updated automatically?

Another thing, an item with sub-item can be either "reportable" or "allow reporting on sub items". Can be both.
