i'd like to batch assign a resource to a list of about 100 items rather than assigning them all one by one. Is this possible?

There's a couple of ways to do that:
You can use the copy&paste functionality (ctrl+c,ctrl+v).
You can use a place holder and then use find and replace app: http://www.clarizen.com/appsmarketplace/item/Simple-Find-Replace-Resource-Manager.html

thanks for responding, Tamir, but I'm not seeing how I can use copy and paste to apply multiple resources at once. Where do I copy the resource from, and where do I copy it to? The simple things I tried just now don't work. The find/replace app you mentioned would be good if I was replacing one resource with another, but I’m talking about adding a resource to a bunch of items, some of which have other resources assigned already and some that don’t. The find/replace app doesn’t let me leave the “From” field blank… L

Hi,
Just select the resources cell, hit the copy button (or use ctrl+c) and mark the designated cell/s and paste the values there.
