How to revert a view back to its default filters etc?

I have temporarily filtered a view which I had defined and saved earlier.  I didn't check the "Save as Default" checkbox when setting the temporary filter, but I don't see how to revert the view to the earlier defined settings.  Selecting the view again from the set of defined views still has the temporary filter applied, and the "Revert View" item in the menu for managing the current view is greyed out.

Hi Diana,

This seems to work only for shared views, not for personal (own use only) views.  If I make a temporary change to a personal view, say by sorting, or filtering a column for specific values, those changes would corrupt the settings I might have spent some time getting just right for normal use.  It would be nice to be able to Revert personal views in the same way as shared views.  Can I suggest an enhancement for this?

Absolutely, I submitted a feature request and our Product Department is reviewing possibility to add to our Product Roadmap in the future.
