Why is Project Priority not available for charts?

I want to see how many of my projects are assigned each priority, for reconciling with another system.

You can do this with the Excel addin but not with the Dashboard yet.  What you can do is create a priority field that is a dropdown with a limited number of options. Then you can use this field in charts for the Dashboard (or you can customize our built-in importance field if you don't want to make a new field).

I hadn't seen the Importance field before, but it seems to be just what I need.
