How does the "Activities Today" tool choose which view to use?

I have setup a Task view for a particular purpose, but the Activities Today tool (top right corner) seems to choose this view whenever I use it.  I would like it to use a more general Task view that includes more columns, but can't see how to control this.

I believe this uses the same columns as the search view, which you can edit by going to the Layout page and selecting an object.

Looks like someone has fixed it.  Now Activities Today uses the current Task view.
