Sending Request For Update Email

Whenever I hit the "Send Update Request"  I get the following message:

"The operation cannot be performed on 'Plans' because it is not an active work item or the users did not allow emails."

Allow emails is set to yes on all users and all the tasks and projects are active.

I have tried it on multiple tasks in different projects with different users and it still won't work.  Any suggestions as to what setting is incorrect.

Can you look at your system settings and confirm that you allow reporting via email? Here are the items to look for and where...

Go to Settings --> System Settings --> 9. Task Completion Reporting Policy and check the following settings are ON:

9.1 - Allow reporting actual completion date via email progress reports

9.3 - Enable one-click progress reporting on all active tasks

9.4 - Allow reporting actual and remaining effort via email progress reports

9.5 - Allow reporting percent completion via email progress reports

9.9 - Progress Reporting - Should be set to Updatable report

Thank you Boris!  The 9.1 you listed was set to no.  When I changed that setting it fixed the problem.  Thank you again!
