Quickbooks Integration

Hi,

I understand you have a separate QuickBooks connector. The video shows that it uses an outdated .IIF format. I am basically wanting to export all my time entries with rates and billing information into QuickBooks Online.

Does this connector allow you to export time entries with bill rates, hours and total amount per entry into QBO?

I have development background, so when I see the IIF headers for Time Activity, it does not allow passing in rates or amounts.

So how would it work in case in Clarizen QB connector?

Please help me understand this as it is a critical requirement for making the decision of this PM tool.

Hello Sameer,

We do not support QuickBooks online, only the desktop version.

There are some 3rd parties that do the conversion with some success but I cannot recommend it as a real solution.

If the IIF file exporting works, it's 10 seconds to add rate, as we already have it in the timesheet record from the Clarizen side.

The rate is not there by default as the QB desktop version do not supports import of rates (which the online version do). As a workaround in the desktop version we are importing rates into the service item.

Billing information can also be extracted, but it required a bit more effort/customizations.
