How Do I report time on Issues or requests?

Hi

Is the only way to report time is by creating a Task ?  I am looking for a way to add time directly to an issue but i still want to be able to report on it in the time sheet.  can this be done?

Motty, 

This is currently not available within Issues though it is on the roadmap to allow this in the future. What you need to do is create a Task for the Issue and report time on the Task. We have an App on the Marketplace called "Create a Task From an Issue". This will create a Workflow rule that will do this automatically for you. Here is the link...

Any update on this feature? Seems logical to allow the users submitting requests, the people who evaluate and process managers to book time entries on this type of work item.

Actually I would like to book time on Requests and Issues.
