My colleague has been able to get the app on his iphone but says he can't see it in the ipad app store. do you know why this is? he has IOS 7.0

An official version for iPad is not available yet but you can get the iPhone version of the app on iPad. You would need to search under "iPhone Apps" in the App Store and download it onto the iPad.

Would be a huge improvement compared to the iphone version.
There is no imminent ETA, right now the priority goes to the smartphone apps since the trend is to move away from tablets and to "phablet" large-screen phones.
Seriously over 4 years and no progress here? The workplace is utilizing tablets more and more... This should be fixed asap.... or at least give good support for tablet browsers. I cannot get Chrome or Safari to work well on my ipad pro when using Clarizen.... you all have been hitting it out of the park until now..
What issues are you having on Chrome or Safari on the iPad? I believe Clarizen should work, it does just fine on my Android tablet. I don't think we will see an iPad-specific app anytime soon, but improving table browser support might be a possibility.
I cannot scroll on the page, and everything makes me tap it twice to load
As a side comment the team board panel is currently unusable on touch screen devices - this would be a huge improvement
